Going Grey

So I am really trying my best to find an audition song that fits my personality along with something that could be good for the musical I'm auditioning for. It's been really difficult finding that song. I have gone from thinking about singing a song from the show to Death Cab for Cutie's "passenger seat" and i would like to do something withing my range, which is not very high and yet still impressive and upbeat. I was thinking maybe green day, or maybe even the foo fighters. All I know is I need to decide soon in order to get rehearsing it. It's making me violently nervous already and I don't even have a song yet. I'm gonna be perfectly fine and not nervous for the audition but I am gonna be gray by the time I get there. GAHHH!!!!

Perpetually getting more and more tired of this society.

So last weekend I was lucky enough to get a chance to see the musical Spring Awakening at the Colonial theater in Boston. Amazing show, which is surprising with the way Broadway has been shelling out such shows as Shrek the Musical.
The musical is about teenage self discovery, and the music, by none other than Duncan Sheik, helps bring us through a journey of deep rooted emotions and for forbidden love.
I'm hoping to get the chance to audition for this show at the casting call in Philly and or in Washington.
Something that really has been pissing me off though is how there can be one amazing, beautiful piece like Spring Awakening and then shit like Legally Blonde the Musical. U2 has just finished up the preparations for "Spider-man the musical." This furthering my hatred for this society and for U2 in general.
