Myspace was one of the first places in which people could socialize, share pictures, share music, and advertise themselves on the internet. It started as something people enjoyed and then became like everything else in this world, overused and mistreated. There became no real means of privacy and young preteen children started to become ignorant to the dangers of the world and began talking to strangers who "loved them more than their middle school friends do." Of course out of that situation came some very entertaining dateline episodes, it was still a problem.
Soon, as always, something new came out, Facebook. This site was simple to use and contained a lot less bull shit then Myspace. Originally it was a site used by college kids in order to socialize and become friendly with other students attending their school of choice. This is because our generation can't really socialize with people face to face. Facebook went from just college kids, to everyone. For fucks sake, my grandmother has a facebook now. I wish I could hate facebook a lot more than I do, but it has become a good tool in which to contact people. You don't really have a choice these days. While a lot of people don't check their e-mail and rarely use their phones, facebook can sometimes be the only way in which to get someones attention.
Then came twitter. It's good for one reason. You can receive news updates to your phone for standard text messaging fee's. That's it. However some people on twitter believe it to be necessary to tell us everything they're doing at every minute of the day. My question is, who gives a shit?
I know the irony in everything I'm saying when I'm writing a blog, however, the difference is I'm getting a grade for this. All in all, socially networking sites are just like everything else in the world. They can be useful tools, or if used by ignorant retards, they can just be pointless.

Movie i Worked on and was a part of.

"A Thousand Times Goodnight" Trailer I have gone from thinking about singing a song from the show to Death Cab for Cutie's "passenger seat" and i would like to do something withing my range, which is not very high and yet still impressive and upbeat. I was thinking maybe green day, or maybe even the foo fighters. All I know is I need to decide soon in order to get rehearsing it. It's making me violently nervous already and I don't even have a song yet. I'm gonna be perfectly fine and not nervous for the audition but I am gonna be gray by the time I get there. GAHHH!!!!

Perpetually getting more and more tired of this society.

So last weekend I was lucky enough to get a chance to see the musical Spring Awakening at the Colonial theater in Boston. Amazing show, which is surprising with the way Broadway has been shelling out such shows as Shrek the Musical.
The musical is about teenage self discovery, and the music, by none other than Duncan Sheik, helps bring us through a journey of deep rooted emotions and for forbidden love.
I'm hoping to get the chance to audition for this show at the casting call in Philly and or in Washington.
Something that really has been pissing me off though is how there can be one amazing, beautiful piece like Spring Awakening and then shit like Legally Blonde the Musical. U2 has just finished up the preparations for "Spider-man the musical." This furthering my hatred for this society and for U2 in general.
